Looking for the "Volk" connection

This name appears as long ago as my great-great grandmother Mary E. Volk Draper, I've seen it also attached to my great grandmother Edna Mary Volk Reynolds. But, Mary E. Volk Draper's father is just Draper. My theory is she is adopted and kept this name "Volk", but I can't make a connection anywhere. I believe "Volk" is a Germanic name, I'm not sure. Mary E. Volk Draper was born in London about 1866, migrated to Canada, I think with her family, married William Class in 1885, and they eventually migrated to Michigan and on to Washington state where they are buried. any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looking for Draper/Volks from England

Searching for information on Draper or Draper/Volk connection in Canada or possibly Michigan. My gr-gr-grandmother, Mary E. Draper Volk was born in London, England about 1866. I have no information about her father or mother other than speculation. She migrated with family to Canada (no info when). She married (1885) William Class(b. Dec 1860) in Canada. They had four daughters (maybe the youngest were adopted), Edna Mary(b. 1886), Lola Margaret(b. 1890), Cleo Elizabeth (b.1908), Lois (b. 1912). They lived at some point in Midland, Michigan; Arenac, Michigan and Bellingham, Washington, and are buried there.
