i am looking for my grandfathers parents,thomas joseph was born to John and Susannah byrne,in 1887....i am stuck from there.

I am told that John McGrath came from either, Waterford or Cork???They also insist he,went to Kings Cove Nl.
He married Susannah Byrne,and have children registered at St Patricks Church, Patrick street,ST. John's Nl.
Thomas Joseph McGrath Dec 8 1887, being my Grandfather.
Susannah died early 1890's,John McGrath remarried.
I cant find a marriage for my great grandparents, I suspect i have found info on john's second family.
