Classification: Query
Surnames: LECLAIR/LECLERC
I am presently attempting to put together a data base of all PEI LECLAIR/LECLERC descendants of Pierre LeClair/LeClerc 1748-1821. He is the ancestor of all LeClairs / LeClerc originating in PEI. What started out as a regular genealogical search for my Grandmothers family roots has become much more . As each foray into the archival resources produced more and more related information it became clear that this was really an interesting exercise.Next to nothing had already been done on this family , at least in published works or available genealogies. If you are willing to help out with this work by contributing any information or have your family`s data included or are looking for some information please contact me. Old photos with identification (to insure their preservation)much appreciated . Intent in future is to deposit this file in PEI and Acadian Archives for use of future generations of LeClairs seeking their roots. I am also a member of \"The LeClerc Family Association " http://www.associationfamillesleclerc.ca/mission.html
