Looking for "Sooy" and "Leeds"

The Sooy family is primarly in NJ. There are members of the family in just about every state, but the main group is still in NJ.
The original ancestor that emigrated from Holland/Netherlands about 1705 was Joost Sooy. (Joseph). He married Sarah van Tienhoven in New York City, migrated to New jersey and Located on the Mullica River.
The family is all descended from Joost and Sarah.
The name is found as Sooy or Soy in most older records.
The Leeds family of New Jersey are descendants of Daniel Leeds. He arrived a Burlington NJ on the ship "SHIELD 1n 1678. He had been married in England, but no record of children by this first marriage has been found. In the US he first married Ann Stacy and had one child (Ann). He then Married Dorothy Young and had 9 children with her and they are the ancestors of most of the Leeds Family. There was another Leeds that came into Salem MA about 1630 and from my research it appears that the descendants of this Leeds did not migrate to NJ. I am in contact with a Leeds in England and he is helping me to link to the Leeds family in England.
I have been doing Genealogy for over 20 years and have over 16000 persons in my Leeds/Sooy Database. I use Family Tree Maker to compile my data. Other closely associated surnames are Higbee, Berry, Hammell, Conover, Somers, Channel, Race, Kaiser, Lake and Talley. There are also ties to most of the old South Jersey families.
