They started a family and for the next seventeen years they must have gone through all kinds of emotion. Rosamund gave birth to fourteen children , but only three lived to see adulthood.

Family Nicknames/Second names used

My Pegg Grandparents had nine children. The oldest was Charles Pegg , born in Corpusty , Norfolk in 1898. He fought in the First World War , as did the second born child Arthur. For some unknown reason he was called "Mitchell" for most of his life. It is said that he was in the Royal Marines. He lost a finger , not sure when though.
Next in line was Georgianna Maud and all her life was called "Maud"
She lived from 1902--1982 and could speak anybody under the table.
They then had Hilda Mary in 1904. Strangely enough she kept her first name , but her husband-to-be , Albert Ernest Allen , was called "Ernie".
Helen May , born in 1908 , was called "May". She married and moved to Cleethorpes.
George Henry was born in 1910 and kept his name. He fought in World War Two and for awhile was stationed in Canada. He was in the RAF. He also died in 1982 in Banbury , aged 72 years.
Jack Pegg , "The Black Sheep of The Family" apparantly , do not know why , was born in 1913 , but kept his name too.
The last two boys had nicknames , Frederick was called "Jockey" because he was short. He worked on the Steam Engines at a Fun Fair.
Last born was my father Albert Maurice. He was born in 1920 at Sutton before the family moved to East Ruston. He was called "Bill" or "Billy". He joined the RAF and served in Malta during "The Siege".
He died in Felixstowe , Suffolk , aged 66 years of age.
