Arkansas. On Nov 15, 1865 there daugther Jessie was born. George took the child back to Kentucky to reared by her grandmother.

To this union five children were born Nellie Bell Sept 28, 1881 Iowa died Sept 24, 1958 Lordsburg, New Mexico Lillie Dell born 1882 Iowa died Dec 8, 1933 Stella May born Oct 26, 1883 died Apr 4, 1907 Harrison, Missouri
George Edson born Apr 11, 1885 Iowa died Apr 23, 1972 Hatfield, Harrison, Missouri Frank Charles born Jun 13, 1886 died Oct 9, 1898 Harrison, Missouri.

On Sept 3, 1939 George married Rosa Tune born 1888 died Jun 10, 1942. On March 3 1944 Randolph County, Arkansas George married Laura Jane Freeman born Jan 8, 1891 Doniphan, Ripley, Missouri died Oct 31, 1944 Arkansas. On Apr 11, 1946 George again married Azilee Taylor born 1872.

George was considered the oldest farmer in Missouri when at age 102
he still planted crops and split fence post.
