I just wanted to post a thank you. Thank you all the wonderful people working to maintain this site. I have met a few second cousins even a third, I have received a lot of information that I thought might be impossible to obtain on my family. I also was able to go back as far as the 15 century on my Olivier family line. This site is so helpful. During my search you have directed me so many helpful resources I was able to go along way in very little time. With out this site I really know how far I would be right now. So I just wanted to let you know and every one else that this is a great site to get in contact with others and obtain helpful information and the people that are maintaining it are outstanding. I am researching my Verdin family ancestors. I am need help with information on these two people.
Cirty Cadet Virdin and rosaline Jaquot
My great great grand father was Prosper Verdin on Census it has him as
Louis Jean Baptiste Prosper Verdin and also as Brosper Verdin born 1863 Louisiana.
Maybe this will ring a bell with some one and they will be able to help me.

Eugine the brother of Prosper had a son named Ernest born 1896 died 1972. Ernest married alberta Bourgeois she was born 1896 died 1965.

These would be my grandmothers second cousins.

Still stuck here. I am a decendent of William Cocke Born FEB 11 1787 Hanover, Virginia. died abt 1834. He was married to Elizabeth Talbot on Feb 4 1815. Elizabeth was born May 8 1792 in Norfolk Virginia and died July 1860
in St Marys parish Louisiana.
My GGGG was William Kader Talbot Cocke born DEC 10 1815 Norfork, Va died SEPT 19 1855 st marys parish lousiana.
He married Mahala Morrison May 1845 in lousiana.
My GGG was Ringold Wingfield Cocke Born Aug 9 1850 Louisiana, Died Dec 7 1930 Lousiana.
He married Mary Buford Diagle in 1893. Mary born abt 1869 died March 8 1946 in Houma, Lousiana.

I found no certifcate of marriage on these two.
My Father is Roosevelt A. Cox Born Sept 1937 st marys parish Louisana.

Note: Family last Name Spelling changed from Cocke to cox in the early 1900s.
Manson was married to a Gussie love divorced then married again and
my dad has two other siblings by his father and these marriages.

Cocke William Talbot Cocke and William 1787
Sorry about the last post please disregard. I am looking for William Cocke born 1787 Father of William Talbot Cocke. This is my line. William was Born 1787 and was married to Mahala Morrison and who else. Any one have married to a susannah crenshaw? I need her birth date and marriage date. I found some children listed under William born 1787 who have both the cocks and crenshaw name.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am having a problem finding a marriage record on one William Cocke born 1847 married to Suesannah Crenshaw.
My question is this. Did william Grey born 1847 and William Cocke both marry a sueshannah crenshaw?
I found the marriage record with William Grey adopted son of John Cox married suesahanna but not the other William Cocke.
Cain/Sellers
I need help from the sellers or cain family. My great grand father was George Washington Cain born 1873.
He is also listed on some census records as George H Cain. And on Military records as George H cain/George Washington cain. This has made it difficulty to find his parents. His Wife was Florence Elizabeth Cole and they were married in Hardy, West Virgina. On the Marrage record it has Groom George Washington and Wife Florence Cole, but The only information I was able to Obtain about his parents was Mother Margert Sellers and Father unknown. I did find a record though on a Rosa Mae Sellers marring a George Washington Cain in 1891.
Aslo a census with George H cain and Rosa Mae Sellers. I don't know if this is George washington sr and if Rosa Mea is aka Margeret Sellers because I cant find the kids listed under the parents on any censu.
Any ones help would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to locate the parents of one Barthelany Sennette b. either 1853 or 1863. He is my great great great grandfather who married Aspasie Frilot, the daughter of Pierre Pearl Frilot and Olevia Olivier.
Sennette- Barthelemy born around 1853 I am still looking for this ancestor.
I am looking for Barthelemy Sennette's correct birth and death dates and also his parents.
He would be my great great grand father. He married aspasie Frilot born 1858 the daughter of
Olevia Olivier and Pierre Pearl Frilot from Lousiana.

I am look for more sennett ancestors. Barthelany Sennett b. around 1863. Barthelany was married to Aspasie Frilot b. 1858 she was the daugther of Pierre Frilot and Olivea Olivier. They either married in england france or cananda. I found Aspasie last name wrong on the census, census has her as frelow and she was definetly a frilot. I need help locating and obtaining information on Barthelany, he was my great great grand father. Most of my family in was found to come from france and ireland and resided in lousiana.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the help.
I have not found out if my grand father Mansen Cocke changed his name or used another
first name, but thanks to family tree circles I was able to find his father, mother and
sibblings. Also with the use of ancestery com I am almost done with that side of the family.
