My grand mother is Eleatha Rose ANDERSON(nee LEWIS)(b)1917 orr street kuridala Qld Aust(d) 2007 townsville Qld Aust.
Parents Agnes Rose THICK (1896)and Alfred John Edward Lewis(1890).
Agnes had 4 sisters Sarah (1890),Annie(1892),Gretta(1894)and Gertrude(1897) their parents were Catherin CUTTER (1870) and Sidney THICK (1870)
From what I have herd from my grandmothers sister Ivy,Agnes and her sisters were forst into being ladies of the night in the mining town of Charter Towers and ill treated by their parents. Sidney an alcohic went missing after going for a walk one day never found and Catherin went to jail for being a madame and using her house for clients the girls left. most of the girls had children with no fathers names on their birth cirtificate and when asked about this they don't want to talk about it.Ivy said that one of the girls married an Chinaman and move with him back to china were he had a wife? Agnes had one child before she married Alfred and their is no name on the birth cirt for father. Catherins parents were Henry CUTTER and Kitty SHEARING and Sidneys parents were Charles THICK and Ann LAWES. I am looking for any info on any of the above people.
