Hi, I too am looking for the origins of Catherine Slater. I even went to IATSIS - Aboriginal family research - but they weren't able to use the info I gave them as it was too sketchy.

My grandmother was Ermine Mary (Minnie) Rosebottom, her mother was Catherine Barnes + father James Rosebottom and I am the daughter of Minnie & Arthur Quince' daughter Catherine Jean (aka Jean) Quince, who married Bernard James Lambert.

I have been researching the family tree for some time now and have over 3000 members on Genes Reunited. I have not upgraded the Ancestry.com tree as I do not use that site anymore, but i did leave it for others to use.

I am happy to help in anyway and am quite willing to open my GR tree for anyone to visit and peruse. I am also really happy when I can glean some info from others, so don't be shy about sharing.
