Catherine Phillips NO. 1 was said to have arrived on the Ann & Amelia & assigned to her husband (probably he arrived on the same boat). Died after receiving serious burns when she was pushed into a fire by Catherne Wapshot at Singleton, She was survived by her husband & three children.
Catherine Phillips No.2 arrived on the Andromeda as Catherine Kent & in 1835 was married to Phillip Thomas & they had three children. She reportedly died in 1840. Her eldest child was unofficially adopted by a childless Singleton couple.
I have been unable to find death or burial records for either woman What are the chances of two women, both with the same name, each wth three children, both dying in the same year in the same district? How do I accesss Census records?

Augusta Pauline Poreshaw was born in Paris in approx 1859, the daughter of a sea captain & died, most likely in Sydney in 1936. She married Michael Gannon at Bundarra in 1877. Does anyone have anymore information on her parents. Regards, Wendie.
