Heyen of Iowa & Reepsholt, Germany 19th century

Journal by RK52

My maiden name was Robin Heyen and my father's name, who is now deceased, was Robert Donald Heyen (Sept.-15-1922 to Feb.-12-1981).

My father's father, which would be my paternal grandfather was Clarence Edward Heyen of Langworthy, Iowa (1898-1964)

Clarence's father, who was my great grandfather, was John Heyen born sometime around 1866 in Reepsholt, Germany. He immigrated to the United States at about the age of "18" and married Matilda Scheer. They eventually settled in Langworthy, Iowa and operated a General Store. John Heyen passed away in 1953.

I would like to get information as to what "ship" John Heyen came over to the States on and if he had any siblings that immigrated with him as well or any male relatives that came over either prior to or after him. Any info on John Heyen's parents back in Germany would be appreciated as well. They would have been my great, great grandparents. Thank you, Robin
