James Donnelly - Albany NY c.1871

Query by Boscod

Hello,
I'm trying to locate descendants of James Donnelly who emigrated to US between 1868 & 71, possibly with some brothers.
In 1871 he applied to the Albany Justices Court to become a citizen of the United States. Any information on descendants would be much appreciated.
Patrick.

Where was James born ? Do you know any of his brothers names ? What year was he born. Who did he marry, children ? Did he remain in Albany or move somewhere else - where?

I believe he was born in Dublin Ireland (Sandyford RC parish) however I'cant find a record for this, so I don't know exactly what year. The parents were Edward Donnelly, (b c1806, d 1871) and Anne Dunn (d 1889), they lived in Sandyford, Dublin. His brothers names are Michael (b1836), Peter (b1838), Edward (b1842) and John (b1844). Apart from him applying for citizenship in 1871, I have no other details on James. I believe John did return to Ireland in the late 1880's following the death of their mother and was single when back here. Regarding the US location, the only thing I have to go on is the Albany court document.
