iam having trouble trying to find our genealogy name

my family according to information collected left sitzerland to hare france and entered new york about 1860. the name they enterd on the ship manifest was wendley. we are trying to locate their true name . also the name of the shop they arrived on. they finally settled upstate utica new. they have changed their names two times from wendley to wandley to wandle. i hope that someon out ther can give us some great information. thank you for your help.

sarahsean on 2008-06-15 13:01:50I don`t have any information on your family but would you know what area of Switzerland they came from? .When they changed their names it was only slightly by a few letters so if you knew where they came from you might be able to find a family with a similar name to yours, which would probably be your family.
