I am Berni Boer nee Gaffney and I am researching Gaffney's or Gafney's from Kilkenny Ireland living or born in South Africa. The first official document that I have is a birth certificate dated February 1867 The Father is Peter Gafney and the son Stephen Gafney the mother is recorded as Sarah Maria Farrelfort in Cape Town South Africa. There is no trace of the surname Farrelfort globally - I suspect that the name ended with Sarah. If any one has details that may assist in my reaserch - please contact me. Berni
