Looking for historic accounts of my Gingras ancestors.

Query by crossoyer

I have my family tree as far back as Hilaire Gingras but the only historic accounts I have are about Charles and Sebastian Gingras, Hailaire's sons. I would love to learn more about my ancestors. I am willing to share any information that I have that might be of interest to others.

Hi.

Charles is my 8G-grandfather. My line to Hilaire goes like this:

Hilaire
Charles
Mathieu
Augustin
Michel
Augustin
Joseph
John Jangro (name change)
...and a few more to me.

I'd love to hear more about him.
Would you please post a journal here with any information you have so others can benefit as well?

Sem Amedee

I have a copy of a short history of one of the first settlers of Sillery (Quebec). It is translated from the French and I would be happy to share if there is a way that I can scan it and send it. It includes an admission and census of the Lordship of Sillery for the Jesuits.
