My grandfather, QUIRICO SANTOS was a mestizo, probably a Marrano from Spain or Portugal since no records, not even the census could divulge any information of him... he has no public records... he was said to have worked with the 'Thomasites' when they landed in the Philippines. He also belonged to the Lutheran Church in the 1950s. He was married to Paula Santiago de LEON of Malate, Manila and had 11 children. My father Benjamin de LEON SANTOS was one of them. I don't know all of his siblings but I have met Miriam, Abner and Sostenes SANTOS. I have cousins from Sostenes: Dalisay, Francisco and Susana SANTOS.

My grandfather died in the 50s. His brother-in-law GAVINO SANTIAGO DE LEON was a Lutheran Pastor in the 50s.
