August Wagener born 26 Sept 1863 in Shelby, Austin Co. Texas. He married Christine Knebel and lived in Fayette Co. Texas. I found a copy of his death certificate on line, that has his fathers name as John Wagener born in Europe. I have been unable to find a John Wagener listed in the 1870 census for Austin or Fayette Co. Texas. If any body has any information please let me know.
