tonkin on 2013-08-31 03:15:47Richard MATES and Sarah Ann MCCLELLAND were married in Victoria in 1886.
Richard's parents were John MATES and Ellen FITZGERALD. They were married in Victoria in 1856. John and Ellen had eleven children that I know of and Richard was their third born.

Oldcheese on 2014-05-29 18:11:52I would like to get some information on Richard Mates such as when he arrived in Australia or when his Father arrived. My mother was a Mates and I have gone back to Samuel Mates born 1807 Wicklow Ireland. Samuel Mates married Ellen Minorgan but I do not have a date. If you can help me I would appreciate it also I may have information you do not have.
Any help would be a bonus.
