I suggest looking on familysearch.org Since Michigan is close to Canada... I
suggest looking at the border crossings that you can find in the usa section.
With Michigan being close to Canada, they may have went for a visit. You can
find alot of information from these records.
Also, you might find your family name under rootsweb family tree section.
Some libraries have Ancestry in their data bases, and this ia a good site.
