Ultimately, although I plan on doing the entire family tree (again), I hope to find my grandmothers Tribal number which my mom had in her bible at one time and can no longer locate. Hello...All of these are DEFINITELY my family of Coopers. I'm not sure when Mintie passed away. I will ask my mom and let you know if she has that information. My grandmother Opal had (I believe) 11 siblings so this is a very large family. Opal passed away when my mother was 3 and my grandfather (James Smith) had my mom in a different part of the country so my mom has never had any contact with any of her MANY aunts, uncles and cousins. When I did the research that was lost...I was just starting to branch out from Opals siblings because I have been told that I have dozens and dozens (if not more) relatives out there that I have never met. I was having a hard time finding much. I don't have a large family and would love to at least know who they are, where they live and what they do along with finding out if any of them have any info on the Cherokee Indian issue. Also....one of Opals older brothers (I believe it was William but am not positive)was a gangster and there are newspaper clippings somewhere in the archives about some of his "doings".
