Anthony Lee of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire (b:1678-9) emigrated to Pennsylvania, USA in 1700, as a Quaker. Anthony acquired farmland there through William Penn (Bucks-Berks County) married Mary Whitaker, produced eight surviving children and many successors that remained in Pennsylvania for many years before the inevitable westward migration and change of religious affiliations. Those of my lineage have fairly secure data of the progeny in this line within the USA but have drawn almost a blank at Anthony's claimed birthplace and ancestry.

So far, I have some indication that Anthony Lee's parents were Thomas lee/Frances Williamson and theirs were Thomas Lee/Margaretta (Margaret) Oscroft; with some indication that their parents were John Lee/Jane Hancock. None of this is verified and the claims of others seeking links to the famous Robert E. Lee, Colonel Richard Lee, Lightfoot Henry Lee of (which my lineage does not appear to be) creates many unsubstantiated couples.

I would really appreciate any information regarding Anthony Lee from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England.
