Henley Family in Neshoba County Mississippi
My Father was Clifton Miller Henley born abt 1924 - Neshoba Cty, MS
served in US Navy the Pacific Theater WWII. He owned and operated an assisted care home and janitorial service.
Clifton, "Cliff" was the son of George Frederick Henley of Neshoba Cty, MS. George was a deputy of county sheriff's office, a store owner and also worked for Parchman Penitentary in Parchman, MS.
George was a Baptist deacon, and a Mason. George married my grandmother, Eulala "Lala" pronounced, Layla, Blalock of Neshoba Cty, MS. Lala was memer of Enon Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. My grandparents had 5 children, (random order)JR - James Robert, Fred - Frederick Lee, Junior - George Frederick, Clifton Miller - Cliff and
Juanell a daughter, who died as a small child, during the Pnemonia Epidemic of the early century.
George Henley's father was James Robert Henley who married Mary Margaret Kilpatrick. James Robert was decendant of John Henley.
This Henley family is few in numbers today, but were of the founding families of Neshoba County, Mississippi.

Just saying hi! I live on the Neshoba/Leake County line in MS. I've actually attended Enon Baptist Church. I was just there the other day researching graves across the road from the church. If I ever run across any Henley's in the course of my research for my own ancestry I will certainly post it here. Good to see someone who knows where on earth Neshoba County, MS is!
