My Father was Clifton Miller Henley born abt 1924 - Neshoba Cty, MS
served in US Navy the Pacific Theater WWII. He owned and operated an assisted care home and janitorial service.
Clifton, "Cliff" was the son of George Frederick Henley of Neshoba Cty, MS. George was a deputy of county sheriff's office, a store owner and also worked for Parchman Penitentary in Parchman, MS.
George was a Baptist deacon, and a Mason. George married my grandmother, Eulala "Lala" pronounced, Layla, Blalock of Neshoba Cty, MS. Lala was memer of Enon Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. My grandparents had 5 children, (random order)JR - James Robert, Fred - Frederick Lee, Junior - George Frederick, Clifton Miller - Cliff and
Juanell a daughter, who died as a small child, during the Pnemonia Epidemic of the early century.
George Henley's father was James Robert Henley who married Mary Margaret Kilpatrick. James Robert was decendant of John Henley.
This Henley family is few in numbers today, but were of the founding families of Neshoba County, Mississippi.

I am a descendant of John H. Henley born in Lauderdale Co. Ms. in Nov 1844.Parents unknown. He married Alice Dansby Nov. 8,1867 in Neshoba Co.Ms.
John and Alice are first found in Scoot Co. and then moved into the Greenland Community of Newton Co. Ms. Their children are: John H. Henley no dates found,Lulia Henley died 1872,buried in Pine Grove Cemetery,House Community,Neshoba Co.Ms.Susan L. Henley 1875-1897 Buried Pine Grove Cemetery married John Henry Skinner(2 children),buried in Pine Grove Cemetery,William Oscar Henley 1879-1936,died in Jackson,Hinds Co. Ms. name of cemetry unreadable on hi death certificate married an Annie or Nannie or Emma also unreadable on census.She had children by first marriage.I am still looking for leads on Uncle Oscar. Martin Luther Henley 1881-1951,Married Laura Alma Wooten Btw 1908-1909 some where in Ms.Martin and Alma migrated to Monroe,Ouahita Parish,La.(7 Children)
Both are buried in Swartz Cemetery as well as Alice Dansby Henley.Martin and Alma Henley are the line of Kathy Elzein and Tommy & Rebeccah Henley.Leona Henley 1884-1934 buried in Pine Grove Cemetery,married Robert Fletcher Willias. She was married previously to J. Arthur Spence and James "UncleJim" Spence. They were brothers. Leona is my grandmother.Leona had a total of 9 children. Velma Viola Henley 1888-1950.married Martin Walter"Judge" Smith buried in Pine Grove Cemetery adn they had 5 children. She is the line of Clara Barrient,Lottie Mae Henley 1895 to 1898 buried in Pine Grove Cemetery married Richard H. Talbert and died in 1918 Flu outbreak.
