He is Distantly Related to some of My Family Tree Memebers.
I am slowly working on the Tree Members.

It is his Daughter Eva Smith who married a Herbert Edward Duckett that I would like to find out more about

* Herbert Edward 'Bert' Duckett (1876-1960) was born in Masterton to John Edwin Duckett (1844-1923), died Cambridge, Waikato & Ann Elizabeth Cole (1848-1917), died Te Kuiti
* Eva Smith (1883-1917) was born 28 Nov 1883 in Kopuaranga, near Masterton, 1 of 13 children of George Frederick Smith (1835-1913), died Carterton & Clarissa Ann Revans (1844-1915), died Carterton

Bert & Eva married in 1907
their children were
1908 - 1917 John Frederick 'Jack' Duckett
1910 - 1990 Clarissa Jean Duckett
1911 - 1987 Herbert Wallace Duckett
1913 - 1991 William Rex 'Bill' Duckett
1917 - 2002 Leo Edward Duckett

* They farmed at 'Langdale' Whareama

Eva died in Masterton Hospital on 13 May 1917 aged 33, 8 days after the birth of Leo. They were very respected in the area and her funeral was very well attended. She is buried Plot HEE, Row 8, Area Plan II at Archer St cemetery with 8 year old son John
NOTE Eva died 8 days after the birth of son Leo, 7 weeks after Bert's mother Ann died and 15 weeks after their son Jack died (aged 8)

* Bert next married Franceit Idy Brittley/Bridley in 1919
Bert died 2 Aug 1960 in Pahiatua Hospital aged 84 and was buried in Plot HED, Row 12, Area Plan VIII at Archer St, Masterton

* Bert & Eva's children and siblings married into some well-known Wairarapa family names
