Edward and Ann Roberts came from england in aprox 1850-1855 with daughter elizabeth. sons james, joseph, edward, henry and another daughter elizabeth were born in NY. the family moved to VA by 1860 and ended up in alexandria by 1870. in 1880 Edward is gone from census but Ann is still alive. Joseph married sally ? and had at least 7 children all boys except one. one son harry married rachel marshall and had 3 children. a daughter mary elizabeth and twins john and annie. annie died young. rachel and children moved to phila accompanied by her mother and children to live with her brother thomas marshall after separating from harry. they were never divorced.I am looking for decendents of joseph roberts. sons named on 1880 census are as follows; everet, caleb, joseph and george. the 1900 alexandria census lists harry, mamie, norman and leslie in addition to the above. any info would be appreciated.
