looking for MCGEE, TERRY, STINSON, JOYCE

Query by kayterry

I'm a Louisiana/Texas researcher. The MCGEE and TERRY lines are at brickwalls. DNA testing has been done on both lines and did not give me any real help. Still searching!

My MCGEE ancestor is Sampson David MCGEE born @ 1813 in TN. He shows up in TX/LA 1835. He dies in LA 1840 leaving 3 daughters and 1 son. Sampson has a brother, Duncan David MCGEE. Sampson's wife and mother of his children is Mary BROWN.

My TERRY ancestor is Stephen TERRY. He is born @ 1789 in NC. Comes to MS/LA area before 1840. He dies around 1860 in ? maybe Livingston Parish LA. His wife is Martha Patience BREELAND. His sons are Abraham Breeland TERRY and Sandford Rainy TERRY.

Would love any info on Mary Patience Breeland. My maiden name is BREELAND, from Mississippi. We have been unable to find any leads on this surname for years!!!! My Dad's father, Ralph, was an orphan along with his younger brother in Jackson, Ms. All we know was his family was too large and some of the kids had to go to the orphanage b/c of lack of money. His bother had red hair(as does MY brother but no one else does). The orphanage and all the records for the boys burned in a fire. No one knows where the brother is, but there are some BRELAND's in the southern part of MS. My Gpa, Ralph, was killed when my Dad was about 13 yrs old, 1955 +/-. My Dad was his only son with 4 sisters. Any tidbits for us? Have a shaky lead that maybe the spelling was changed...from VREELAND, in the New England Area/NJ,NY. But no proof. Would love any info you have. Thanks
