I am looking for any members of the Papdanko family which originated in Austria-Hungary. My mother's parents (George and Helena) came here in 1907-1909 to Sharon, Pennsylvania. Records show his brothers Janko and Andrija came to PA also but I have never heard of them or can find any trace of them. I found Papdanko cousins in Sid, Serbia and they are a small group.

My grandfather came to America as Djuro Papdanko and while applying for work here was told he had to shorten his name. He became George Popp and his children were named Popp or Poppe.

My grandmother (Ilja Sos) was from Petrovci which is now part of Croatia. They are Rusyns and I am trying to locate any other family members. Please contact me if you have any information at all. Thank you.
