Robert EAGLE was born in Dartford, England in 1812
- a son of Edward EAGLE & Mary SMITH

he married Hannah Blanche *PUTTENHAM in 1833 in Bexley, England
- *I had Hannah`s surname as Puttenham like her father and siblings ... however on the marriage register of her son George, her maiden name was said to be Hannah Blanche PATERSON

they had 12 children in England and then emigrated to New Zealand, arriving on the GLEANER on 19th November 1857 settling on a farm in Karori, Wellington
In 1872 they, and their son George became Mormons and shifted to Salt Lake City. They returned to NZ some years later.

Their daughter Charlotte, married and emigrated to Salt Lake City Utah in 1871/72 and had 9 children over there.

- married Samuel Henry FAWCETT in Wellington 1871
- their first baby was born in Salt Lake City, USA in 1872

1834-1906 - Sarah Jane Eagle
- married Stephen LANCASTER 1859 in Wellington
- Stephen was the 1st Mayor of Karori
- Like her parents she had 11 children, all of them born in Karori

1836-1870 - Robert Eagle
- married Rose REGISTER 1864
- he died in Carterton, buried in Bolton St, Wellington

1840-1919 Edward Eagle
- married Sarah Jane BOOTH 1862
- with William Booth, (his wife`s brother) and trading as William Booth and Co. he was a Sawmill owner, Farmer and Councillor
- he died in Carterton

1842-1921 Henry Eagle
- married Catherine VILE 1866
- they had 11 children
- he died in Napier

1844-1880 Mary Ann Eagle
- married Henry DRYDEN
- she died in Wellington

1846-1927 William Ferguson Eagle
- married Eliza Larkins WRIGHT 1871
- married Mary Ann BRADLEY 1896
- he died in Dannevirke

1848-1933 John Ernest Eagle
- married Elizabeth Annie CORNFORD in 1873
- they had 13 children born in Makara, Wellington

1850-1911 Emma Eagle
- married John BRYANT in 1869
- they had 7 children in Ohariu Valley, Wellington
- she died in

1856-1933 George johnathan Eagle
- he became a Mormon, along with his parents and lived for a time in Salt Lake City. He returned and married Edith TARR 1886 in Karori, Wellington
- they had 5 children from 1888 to 1892. All but one of his children died from TB
- he was custodian of Karori Park
- he died from TB in Wellington
