Feroben Name

I am researching the Feroben name in Louisiana, Mississippi, France, and Germany. My father's name was James Carrol Feroben. He was born in Waverly, Louisiana February 1, 1940 and died October 30, 1996 in Delhi, Louisiana. He is the son of Charlie Thomas Feroben and Goldie Alameda Dean. Charlie Thomas Feroben is the son of Henry James Feroben and Molly Elizabeth Brewer. Henry is the son of Joseph Feroben and we are assuming Sarah Kaiser. Joseph immigrated to the United States sometime before 1850 but he is listed in the 1850 census for Vicksburg, Mississippi. I found a marriage record for Joseph in 1859 when he married Sarah. Henry was born in Mississippi in 1858. This is all I know about Joseph.

Looking for Marlar connection

I am trying to find my Marlar ancestors. My grandmother is Annie Lou Marlar born October 16, 1917 in Birmingham, Alabama. She had 1 brother name Ollie C Marlar born October 1918, and three sisters; Gracie Marlar, Hazel Marlar, and Betty Jean Marlar. Ollie married Lavada King in Arkansas; he died in Arkansas December 1984. Gracie supposedly married a man name Clarence Dison in Arkansas. No other information is known about her. Hazel married an unknown Goodson. She died sometime have Ollie in Oklahoma. No other information is known about her. Betty Jean Marlar is the baby of the family. Her last residence is in Cleburne, Texas. She married an unknown Norton; could be an Eddie Norton. No other information is known about her.

I have tried to look for this family in every census that was available and I just can't find them. They should at least be in the 1920-1930 census.

If anyone can point me in a good direction I would appreciate it. I really want to break down this wall.

I'm not sure if the name Marlar was actually spelled like that back in the early 1900's. But that is how my grandmother and brother spelled it.

My Family Searches

I started researching my family background about eight years ago. I now have over 900 names on my list. That is not including the names that I am trying to link. The surnames I am researching started with three names, but I am trying to link all that in my tree, even if by marriage.
The names are Atwood, Marlar, and Feroben. The Atwood's in my tree are mainly from the Mississippi Region but I do have some that have relocated to Louisiana. The Marlar name is my brick wall. This is my mom's mom and I can't find anything past her. The Feroben name is my dad's side. I grew up never knowing who he was, I only met him once when I was 10, we were going to his ex-father-in-law's funeral; (I called the fil Uncle Ted). I gather most of this information from my half-brother.
