For the last 12 years, I have been researching various lines carrying the family name of Tunstall. I started with my own direct line (the TUNSTALLs of THURLAND) and have since branched out (a) in the UK -to the Staffordshire and Cumbria/Cumberland TUNSTALLs (b)in the USA - principally Virginia, but also Kentucky, Minnesota, N Carolina, Tennessee & Wisconsin, and, finally, (c) Canada.

I have written a three-volume compilation of my research to date (including anecdotes and illustrations, where possible) as follows:

Volume 1 (330 pages) - from Copsi de Tunstall (c.1036) in direct line to me and including references,where appropriate and where applicable, to the PARR, BOLEYN and CONSTABLE families.

Volume 2 330 Pages) - the TUNSTALLs in Virginia, USA.

Volume 3 (235 pages) - Miscellaneous - including the Staffordshire potters and Cumbria lines in the UK, with references to, and including several TUNSTALL familes in the USA (Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee & Wisconsin) and, finally, (c) Canada.

I hope to publish this compilation, which will be intended for limited circulation within the TUNSTALL family and other interested and associated families. Provided I find a suitable printer, the complete compilation will be made available to interested parties at a cost currently estimated at(GBP)£170 plus postage and packaging.
