and she lived

2. 84 Limekiln St. 1891
3. 23 Penfold Rd Elham, Kent. 1901
Her father was Henry Leopold Lepper Dowle 1841 ? 1896 and her mother was Mary Ann Stevens 1841 ? 189
She married at Dover in December 1898;
William Jonas BINFIELD born September 1873 in Dover Kent and died September 1915.
William Jonas BINFIELD was the son of Philip Upton BINFIELD 1841-1931 and Margaret Ann HICKS 1843-1907

Now I can't find another marriage for this particular Minnie and she died as BINFIELD. I found only one daughter-Minnie Winifred M Binfield 1900 ? 1993 who married Reginald GROOMBRIDGE in 1931.
Perhaps this is a completely different family.

Thanks so much for all your help. Sorry for the delay in answering, but my mum has recently passed away and it's been a bit upside down.

That's certainly the right Minne Binfield, she was the sister of my grandfather William Charles Dowle, and she raised him after the death of his parents at quite a young age. My grandfather was the baby of the family and Minnie was like a mother figure to him.

I was quite surprised at her date of death, as my mum said she must have died during WW2, as the whole family were evacuated together, and when they came back they could't find any record of her anywhere - or of her children. My mum did go to Molly's wedding, and knew that Lynley was in the air force, but no more than that. I know Aunt Min also had either a grandson or son called Philip - but no more about him.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot, two of Uncle Bob's children emigrated to Canada - one as a G I bride, that was Violet, and her sister Edna went with her for company, as they were going to live on a farm right out in the wilds.

I haven't heard anything about a daughter Minnie though - although it does sound like we're on the right track.

This is the BINFIELD family I offer. Of course there were a couple of other Binfield families.

I think you may have two families there. My great-nan was Minnie Winifred Binfiel (Later Hammond & Groombridge) who died in 1993. I know a lot about her children not much about her parentage but I can find out.
