My Grand-father's name is Archie JONES, born in Claiborne, Tennessee. His father, Samuel JONES born ab 1858-60, Claiborne County. I was able to find Samuel in the 1900-1930s census living with wife Lucinda (BUSSELL) and children. To name a few... Archie, Janie, Rosco, Sarah, Johnny, May, Meb. I also found Samuel in the 1880 census in Yellow Creek, Bell County Kentucky, with wife Lucy, and daughter Jane. But I can't find Samuel in any other census with the age I'm looking for. Except, In the 1860s, I did find Samuel G. JONES, age 1, with a Sarah JONES age 21, living with Frederick FULTZ and his family. Some people had Sarah beening a Sarah "FULLINGTON" JONES, who has married James JONES, But that can't be this Sarah. Because I was able to find Sarah FULLINGTON living with her family still, in Union Co. Tennessee.
My relatives thinks Samuel's middle name starts with a "L", But I have a copy of Archi's death cert. and Samuel had signed it with a "G".. The Samuel JONES in the 1860s looks like it might be him. This is a very messy brick wall, and would love for someone to help me out.
